DON’T STOP
DON’T STOP
last song recorded at the session - learned it, arranged it and tracked it in less than one hour - we just gave in to the song and it sounds like it - rewrote the second verse in the studio and changed the title - finally did scratch that itch - Maggie’s pedal solo breaks my heart -
Don’t Stop
Pour me a glass of Mr. Daniels
give me a shot of that liquid fire
don’t give a damn how the old bitch handles
as long as there’s a little air left in the tires
but don’t stop, pour out that last drop
I got a thirst I can’t explain
So pour me some whiskey or some wine
I’m feeling down in the dumps
I cannot quite make up my mind
I got this feeling I been sunk
guess I owe myself a drunk
Never liked the taste of pure spring water
never found that it could quench my thirst
always thought that things’d be getting better
never figured on them just getting worse
So don’t stop, pour out that last drop
I got a thirst I can’t explain
Pour me some whiskey or some wine
I’m feeling high as a kite
I cannot quite make up my mind
So I’m gonna do as I like
and, as the English say, get tight
Let me taste the sweetness of your body
let me drink the water of your tears
fill me with a vision of our future
I’d like to catch a glimpse before it disappears
Just don’t stop, pour out that last drop
don't stop I know I've already had quite a lot
Don't stop baby give me all you got
I got a thirst I can’t explain
